QUICK TAKE: NICE GUY MACHINE CO MID MOD PRY
So Nice Guy Machine Co comes out with a new pry bar. You know what that means! That’s right! I forked over my credit card information. The latest release from NGMCo is the MIdi Mod. It comes with some interesting aspects that may make it worth being in your collection. The Midi Mod is a Titanium pry bar, it measures in at 4.25” and is .70’ wide. It has this unique circular thumb cut that is kind of is a major design inspiration. A circle has smooth rounded edges and so does the Midi Mod. Typical Nice Guy items have a more boxy profile but the MIdi Mod will have an easier time slipping into your pocket with its softer feel. The circular design cues continue on with the bottle opener which is a major identifier for this pry bar. It bows out beyond the handle into this little lip that is perfect for lifting caps. One thing that any Nice Guy fanatic is going to be stoked on is the inclusion of their CRK pocket clip. He hasn’t dropped the individual pocket clips in a while and it seems they’re all going onto his latest pry bars instead. When I first saw the Midi Mod, I thought “That looks like a baby Side Piece.” And sure enough, that was one of the goals of the design of this pry bar. Archie said that he wanted a more budget friendly option after coming out with the flagship Crunch Bar. What makes something more budget friendly is just scaling it down and slapping on aspects of his other pry bar models. The Midi Mod almost acts like the Frankenstein of Nice Guy pry bars and with Halloween this weekend, I am all for it.
